Immunity
Daily Ramble
It’s been a bit of a week here in the Halliburton household. Mama bear made her pilgrimage back from the Costa Rican tropics with a tag-along — an obnoxiously painful earache. By Wednesday, Naia was down for the count with a cold she’d picked up in school, which, being the hyper-vigilante parents we are, meant she can stare at school from the balcony, but can’t join it until Monday when we’re all but certain she’ll be well again.
And that leaves me, pounding immune-boosting antidotes and prioritizing Whim Hoff breathing exercises each morning followed by a cold shower. In the same way my father swears by bee propolis keeping him from being sick, I’ve become an ardent supporter of Whim Hoff’s breathing exercises and cold shower routine. That amounts to several cycles of hyperventilation followed by holding your breath. The idea is to naturally oxygenate the blood. Highly oxygenated blood has all sorts of benefits (just ask Lance Armstrong who used oxygenated blood transfusions to gain a competitive biking edge) including boosting the immune system.
The part that is much harder is the cold shower that comes after. Many cultures around the world tout the benefits of a cold water dunking and while it’s no joy, it does become more tolerable over time. It’s only a couple of minutes, but after my body is fully alive and any cruddy mood I’d been carrying with me has gone out the window. I put it up there in the same category as running — you can learn to tolerate it during the process but its real benefits are the after-effects: alertness and a boosted immune system.
So far, what ails mama bear and the cub hasn’t caught me yet. It’s my propolis and I’m sticking to it.🤞

Bitcoin Price Prediction
Yesterday: $30k - $35.6k
Today: $28.8k - $33k
Weekend: $22k - $36k
Phew. We tentatively have a bottom now. That’s not to say we couldn’t have another leg down over the weekend, but my predicted price action has born out. What that means is that we had a final price dip after the close yesterday bringing price down to $28.8k where buyers stepped in enforce bidding the price back up. With the length of time we’ve spent above $30.8k, it now looks like we’ve found a pivot for at least a bounce. Over the weekend I’m giving room for a possible final leg down in my predicted price, but I don’t believe it’s very likely. Instead, I suspect we slowly grind upwards for the next couple of days. Let’s see come Monday!
Bitcoin Ed Bite
Q: How do I store my bitcoin safely, aka manage my private keys?
A: There’s not a single answer. Best practices dictate the more bitcoin you own, the more complex the private key management.
My advice is to start small and progress as follows:
Leave your Bitcoin on the exchange.
Move a small amount to a hot wallet and back to the exchange.
Move up to $1000 to a hot wallet.
If you’ve got more than $1000 upgrade to a hardware wallet
If you’ve got more than $100,000 upgrade to a multi-sig wallet.
I’ll explain the difference between hot wallets, hardware wallets, and mult-sig in the next week.
Have a great weekend,
Kent
