More Senses
Daily Ramble
I’ve worked with traditional healers from different traditions for many years now. Over the years, it’s become clear that there are more than 5 senses available to us. There’s simply no other way to explain how information is collected by these healers unless another sense, or set of senses, is considered.
Science has become the dominant world view over the last 100 years or so, but considering the human species has walked the planet for more than 250,000 years, 100 years is extraordinarily short. I’m a firm believer in science and the use of our 5 senses to rationalize and understand our world. I also see it as the most objective tool to make sense of the world and arrive at agreements between people. At the same time, my experience with uniquely capable humans has shown me that there abilities that go beyond science. It is possible to both use science as a tool AND not be married to it exclusively. That’s me.
Where am I going with this? I suspect most people are scared to imagine a world beyond five senses. It’s hard enough to deal with the world within the realm of our senses let alone consider the possibilities beyond. But with all this talk about exploring outer space and settling Mars in my lifetime, it makes me grateful that there’s also a movement afoot to normalize the exploration of inner space through meditation and psychedelics. I’m sure we’ll learn just as much, if not more, by doing so.
RIP Bill, and thanks for your inspiring vision for humanity. If you’ve not ever heard this 3 minutes clip, you’ll be inspired too.

Bitcoin Price Prediction
Yesterday: $34k - $39k
Today: $34.7k - $40k
Tomorrow: $32k - $42k
Consolidation continues. Not much more to write, but I can break down the price movement a bit more here. Yesterday, the price bounced from a low of $34.8k to a high of $37.5k, well within the predicted range. Today’s price, though slightly up-and-to-the-right doesn’t seem to have a lot of push behind it. What that means is that the price isn’t likely to break through the low from yesterday nor is it likely to break past $40k. It looks like accumulation here, which again, is setting the stage for further upside in the days and weeks ahead. That said, until we take out the high at $42k, we’re going to continue to see price bounce between the low set on last week’s pullback at $32k and the high at $42k.
Bitcoin Ed Bite
What are private keys for Bitcoin?
As mentioned in yesterday’s Ed Bite, private keys are proof of bitcoin ownership. With them, bitcoin can be moved to any wallet. Without them, the bitcoin are stuck.
A Bitcoin wallet is another way of saying a Bitcoin address. A wallet — Bitcoin address — is created at the same time as it’s paired private key. What’s confusing is the private key is seldom seen. Some wallets provide access to the private key, which looks like a long string of random numbers and letters, but most wallets instead give something simpler for us to use: a seed phrase. The seed phrase is 12 - 24 words in length. Technically, the seed phrase is not a private key, but practically, it is. With the seed phrase, the bitcoin wallet and associated private key can be recreated.
If it’s your first time generating a Bitcoin wallet, the lesson here is to hold the seed phrase in a secure location. The seed phrase is your bitcoin — not your keys, not your coins.
