Mystery
Daily Ramble
I’m glad I don’t prostrate myself at the altar of science. I was reminded that today going to see a healer I’ve worked with periodically these last six months. There’s no way anyone limiting themselves to a scientific-only world view would make anything of the whooping and hollering I just experienced other than to dismiss it. For me, I was transported.
Like any good religion, a worldview limited to science alone is quite dogmatic. It forces the world to be constrained to the five senses — no more, no less. Objectively, it makes sense. There’s no other way to agree on a way of seeing the world collectively. But subjectively, it’s nonsensical. We all have experience with emotions that can’t be measured. Scientists do measure emotions through hormonal releases, organ changes, heart-rates, and metabolism. But just like a fingerprint doesn’t represent a finger, these measurements don’t represent our emotions.
How should we see the world? I don’t know. That “should” squishes the journey of life into the instant gratification game of social media dopamine hits. That “should” is a process of self-discovery and exploration. If you were lucky enough to grow up in a religion that wasn’t science, then through traditional schooling, you’ll gain a scientific framework to provide at least two frames to see the world. Those frames cause sparks where they clash, but the exploration of those sparks yields insight into the human experience. I grew up in a Christian religion, but my exploration into worldviews has ranged across Buddhist, Yogic, Amazonian, Catholic, and Lakota traditions. There’s a chance that I’m closing in on the one, or blend, that I’ll call home, but I learned long ago to let my instincts and intuition guide my path. A spiritual path is a calling, not a pursuit.
Does that make me anti-science? Not at all. It’s actually my go-to tool for understanding the world. There’s no other tool that works better to understand life objectively. I’m mesmerized by the laws of physics, nature, and quantum mechanics. And maybe there’s an answer to everything that we’ll find neatly summarized in an equation like E = mc² that 95.5% of the world will find meaningless. But I’ll gladly live in awe at the mystery of life, knowing no matter how much of the mystery we pierce, there’ll be at least that much further to go…like headlights fading into the darkness on an endless desert highway.

Bitcoin Price Prediction
Yesterday: $53k - $62k
Today: $50k - $57k
Tomorrow: $50k - $57k
The bears continue to drive down the field with the ball, taking the price as low as $52.8k today. At the moment, the bulls are making an effort to put in a pivot here climbing as high as $55k, but we’re likely to need another day in this range between $53k - $55k before our mountain climbing expert has got a solid anchor set to push off for higher price discovery. I’m anticipating another local low test at $53k-ish before we see that push higher. If that does not hold, then the door is opened for a test of $50k.
Looking at fundamentals, a large amount of Bitcoin was just hoovered off central exchanges, momentum and funding have reset, more stimulus is on the table, and I anticipate the efforts pioneered by Michael Saylor to promote institutional adoption will lead to institutional announcements soon. It’s a bull market, and though we’re 6 weeks into the $50k-$60k playground, the market has only gotten more bullish.
Bitcoin Q & A
Q: What is the Bitcoin blockchain?
A: A ledger of transactions saved on thousands of computers running the Bitcoin network.
The Bitcoin blockchain is stored on thousands of computers, making it decentralized. Since everyone running the Bitcoin software has a copy of the ledger, it becomes exceedingly difficult to tamper with it. It is called a blockchain because it is a chain of blocks. Every 10 minutes, a new block is added to the chain. The chain of blocks is cryptographically linked to one another. That’s a fancy way of saying that we can use math to verify the chain's authenticity from the first block to the last — currently number 675,953.
